Walking Down Memory Lane!!!!

Well, today I have been talking a walk.......

........a very sweet walk.........

down MEMORY LANE!

I have sat here laughing and crying as I reminisce in the years that have passed in my little girl's life!

Such fond memories!!!

She will be 12 years old in March....

and Oh how the years go by!!!

Will you walk with me???

These pictures were taken at Chelsi's Baby Dedication Service in June 1996. It was such a special day!

Chelsi has always loved stuffed animals.....never really cared much for dolls...but oh....how she loves her stuffed furry friends! She would sleep with as many as she could fit into her little bed every single time she napped or at night! These pictures were taken at a hotel in Pigeon Forge TN on a trip to Dollywood. Can you just picture our back seat..... piled high with 3 million stuffed animals???? hee-hee!!

Moving right along............

Chelsi started taking Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Acro at the ripe old age of 3! In these pictures she is ready to go to her ballet class....she's warming up!!

Bath time is always FUN for Chelsi! She would spend hours (if I'd let her) in that tub! She would go on adventures in that tub of hers!

In this picture she was an Irish Alligator Conservationist! (notice the St. Patrick's Day green hat) .

Oh how she loved to be outside!!! (She still does!!!) This picture is so funny because....it was her b-day! ON this particular year, we bought this playground for her.....and notice how she is in the BOX! Oh yes, she LOVED the box....!!! hee-hee! (She eventually realized the playground was pretty nifty as well!) ;)

She loved to dress up! Here is our little Mermaid and her "My Twinn" doll.....named "Little Chelsi"

Now these pics are really significant.....because you see, we have a Bug-loving gal on our hands! In these pics she is trying her best to show you her teeny tiny INCH WORM that is crawling on her arm! She rescued him of course! She always rescues bugs! Oh my, over the years.....we have had so many bugs in little bug houses...being taken care of....by our little entomologist! Once, she tried to save a wasp that was crawling on our sidewalk.....and of course you guessed it....it stung her....well she was heartbroken....not because it hurt terribly, but because "It bit me and I was only trying to help it Mommy"!!! She was so very hurt that it didn't realize she was only trying to help!
Oh what a heart she has!

She LOVES the Beach! Oh my.....does she love the beach! I think I will just leave it at that...and save my beach stories for an entire post devoted to Chelsi & the beach! (Coming soon....I promise!)

Did I tell you that she liked BUGS???? (wink!!)

She also loved to go the BIG playground each week with our little friends! She would take her "Nature Basket" and pick up lots of "nature" (i.e. sticks, lots of rocks....seeds...leaves etc).

Also in this bunch of pics is her beloved Rocking horse! A very dear man custom built this beautiful horse for her! It was a b-day gift from her Pop-Pop & Nana-Lu. She adored it....still does....it is still in our downstairs family room !

She simply adores painting! So......look what Mamaw let her do to their front door one winter.........

OH yes...Mamaw & Papaw had the best dressed Door for the entire Winter!

She loves to bake.....here is a cake that she made (with only a little help from Mommy) for her Daddy's b-day! He LOVED IT!
