It was then that the Wall of fame began!
There is only ONE famous person represented on this wall.......it is CHELSI'S wall of fame!!!!
We decided to mark her height on the wall of our laundry room at random times through out the years....and now....almost 10 years later....I can honestly say......I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW FAST TIME PASSES AND HOW QUICKLY OUR DAUGHTER GREW UP!
On occasion, after we'd measure her...she would want to draw a picture.....or sign her name.......those are precious markings, let me tell you!
And although our laundry room wall is dingy, smudged, fingerprinted.....and marked upon......I LOVE THIS WALL.....and all the time of healthy growth that it represents.
So, for as long as I live and love....this wall will look just like this.....with our coat racks hanging on either side and her scrap booked picture hanging above our
"Precious Wall of Chelsi Fame"!!!
We love you sweet girl!!!
(She's on stage in this picture dancing at
the Miss Bristol Pageant, her clogging team was the entertainment for the evening.)

What a great idea and I don't blame you one bit for keeping those markings up there. I would never paint over it. How bittersweet to see how much she has grown through the years.
I am loving that pic of her clogging. What a beauty she is!
P.S. Do you scrapbook?
oh I know, they grow up too fast I think...Enjoy your beautiful daughter through every season...
I just love your blog. The growth chart on the wall is just too sweet. I wouldn't ever paint over it either. Your daughter is just beautiful!they just grow up too fast, don't they?
I hope your back feels better and I really needed the stop worrying post. I, too, am a worrier, nurturer, make everything better person. After the week I've had, I really needed to be reminded to just give it all to God. Thanks!
We have a Nikon D50 camera and I really like it. My husband got me a 50 mm lens for our anniversary and I'm still trying to figure it out. I wish I could take pics like some of the ones I have seen on other blogs...I'm still trying to get it right!
Have a great night!

Love it! I am thinking I should have my kids ages 23,20 and 16 line up to be measured again! Haven't done it in years.
We really do need to pick a place in our house and start doing that! Lauren is sleeping in a big girl bed for the first time tonight. Sniff, sniff. My babies are growing up, too!!!
Love you and your precious heart!
The time goes so fast doesn't it? What a sweet post...I wouldn't ever paint that wall either.
Chelsi is beautiful and she looks just like you Denise. :)

We too mark our girls growth each month on a beautiful chart(large wooden, tole painted chart) given to us from a dear friend. It is wonderful to watch their progress!!
I love the photo of Chelsi, gorgeous young lady. :)
What a wonderful place to remember the earlier years. How special.
That is so precious! A daily reminder of how quickly they grow up.
Thats a good way to remember the years. I love the way she drew a little picture. We have one wall like that at Grandma's house.
They do grow up quick, I'm happy that I get a second chance to really savor every moment.
I love your wall of fame!!!!!
You MUST tell me...what music is this playing??? I LOVE it!
Blessings to you!
