We are still kicking here at the Crockett Home!!! Wow...we have been soooooo busy! IT seems we are so busy just "doing life" that I don't have much time to update my blog....or to visit my sweet friends out there!!!! Just know that I think of each of you and lift you in prayer daily! And...wonder how your life is and what's new with you!!! And...one day when our busy days slow down a bit...I'll be back visiting like I was before! I miss each of you...and hold you closely in my thoughts and heart! Thank you to all of you who have emailed me or left a precious comment saying that you miss me...or "what is wrong"...or "ok, something is going one...you have been gone too long" hee hee! You all are near and dear to my heart! Please know I so deeply appreciate your concern and love and thoughtfulness that I've been away too long! But, we really are absolutely GREAT! Life is GOOD! We are just so busy moving through the day to day stuff that by the time I have "done all that" I am ready for some "down time" and usually that doesn't include the PC. :(
SO....one day sooner that later...I'll be back just as I always was.....and look forward to catching up with each of of you...my dearest bloggie blessings!!!

My precious precious parents!!! Mom sent me an email a couple of weeks ago...and it just made me cry! She attached some pictures of Daddy and the email read: "Here is my best friend....the one I have loved for over 60 years....the one I share my life with....Oh how I love him!" I sat here and the tears just fell one after another... looking at the pics of my sweet daddy...and just thanked GOD for the love they share and for allowing ME to be their little girl! Oh what a blessed life GOD gave to me! They are the real deal! I just wish all children could be blessed with parents like I have! Oh what a sweet life!

My Daddy started a tradition and he didn't even know he was doing it...but when Chuck and I were dating...Daddy would make these good ole Rice Crispy treats....and Chuck would eat most all of them! So, that Christmas and ever year thereafter, Daddy makes a big batch of these yummy goodies and it is usually the first present Chuck opens....and this is just what he does Immediately......Yeppie...quickly eats one ...or two...or ten!!!
Oh yea, My man loves -him- some yummy rise crispy treats! hee hee!

Oh, how she loves her Mamaw and Papaw!!!!

She is growing up so quickly.... ~sigh~~ !
Ok...moving on.....Christmas morning.....all of us are sleepy eyed!!!
Chuck ALWAYS has the DRV in his hand! He never ever misses a moment on film! ha!!!
OH yea...it wouldn't be Christmas if Victoria didn't reveal a secret or two! hee hee!
Chelsi and I both got " Furry friends" ....( boots).... to keep us warm in the snow atop Beech Mtn this winter!
Daddy always get his girls something alike !
Ahhhhh.......all the presents are open...and this chik is taking great pleasure in her loot!
Then it was off to My parent's home for Christmas lunch....
They are the sweetest!
My sweet cousins! Oh young love is so beautiful!!! They are still newlyweds...(2 years!!!)
He's more like my baby brother than a cousin! We share a very special relationship!
I love him dearly!
...and he is the spitting image of his daddy!!!! Who happens to be my uncle but....it really more like a BIG brother to me! So...although I am an ONLY child...I have 2 brothers! yippee!!!
And....this is what my sweetie does best at my parents' house...
.....EAT!!!

He still swears that my mama and daddy's cooking is the reason....WHY... he married me!!!! hehe!
*(THERE'S PROBABLY ALOT OF TRUTH TO THAT STATEMENT!!) :)
Then it was off to Chuck's parents home for Christmas dinner.....
Christmas 2008 was a treasured day for all of us!
Then came HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!
We had a fabulous time! We had a small gathering here....ate yummy food....played Guitar Hero...and this dude could really rock out!
He's one of Chelsi's bestest friends ever...the kind of friend every mom wants her little girl to have! He looks out for her, always, always "has her back".....gives her good advice...they have a very unique bond beetween them....he is a TRUE FRIEND!!..So, anyway... he packed up his entire guitar hero set up and brought it over for all of us to enjoy!!!
IT was sooooo much fun!!!
He's really good too! I mean REALLY GOOD at GH!!!!
He gave Chelsi a lesson....(looks like he is doing most of the work...and she's just standing there looking pretty! hee hee!)
He's nice like that....always thinking of others...... such a well-mannered, sweet guy with a fabulous personality!
Oh, and he is absolutely my BEST rook partner of all!!!
We can really take 'em out when we pair up in a card game!!!

Everyone took a turn at trying out Guitar Hero.....it seems.....and.....

Then we all piled into vans and took off to do MIDNIGHT BOWLING to ring in the new year properly ya know!!!

...and oh what a fun time we had!
IT was around 2am when we left the bowling alley!
.....check out the fun at the lanes....
Then at 2am we all jumped back into the vans....and came back to our house.....and ate some more....and the kiddos played Wii...and some of us played a fabulous game of ROOK!!!
Oh it was sooooo much fun!!! I haven't played Rook in years....and I LOVE me a good ole' game of rook!
Especially when I have the best Partner!!! *wink*
We had such a fun night!!!
So by about 4:30am....we were all winding down....and realizing that we were in our 40's not in our teens...and staying up all night was a lot harder than it was way back when.....so we ended the night finding the girls like this....at 5am!!!
Yep....that's when this party ended!
5:00 am !!!!
Haha! They were in dreamland!
It was an amazing evening with sweet friends!

The week between Christmas and New Year....we had fun meeting and getting to know some relatives of our friends, the Hills.
We just loved this family and their sons! They were so much fun!
We all went ice skating......together....and had such a great time!
Chelsi LOVES to ice Skate! She looks forward to the winter rink opening here in November...and we are frequent visitors until it leaves the first week of January!
As you can see in this picture......Chelsi and the oldest son, of this family, became fast friends! :)
They had such a great time together! ;)
They did a lot of talking & laughing.
There was an instant connection between them!
They exchanged phone numbers....before the night ended.... and are texting each other everyday, probably way too much if I know my daughter like I think I do!!! *wink*!
He lives in another state...so they are keeping in touch and making plans for the next time he is here visiting his family.
He's such a sweet guy, with tons of talent! God has given him many gifts!!!
He plays several instruments...many of which are self-taught...is an integral part of his church and their praise band....attends a highly regarded Military School and really just excels in all that he aspires to do!

Of course....my little chik never ever meets a stranger...she will talk to anyone...and is always inviting people over...we love a house full of people!

We all went out to a movie and then went bowling together too!!! This is becoming a habit for us! hee hee!
It is so much fun...and really none of us are any good...except for Chuck's brother...who tried so hard to teach ME..... that the goal is to knock down the pins at the end of the alley... not sweep the gutters!!! haha!

During the week between Christmas and New Year...(Chuck was off from work this week) so...Chelsi and her daddy caught a pretty day...and took off on the 4 wheelers!
and they are off.....
In the winter, our state lowers the lake levels...so we have a big muddy lake bed...just perfect for 4-wheelin fun! I'm talking donuts.....spinning...throwing of mud.....oh yea....it gets really messy! And this pretty little chik is in the middle of it all! Give her some horsepower...and some mud...and she's happy!
It's hard to believe by looking at this pretty little face.....but oh yea....she loves her messy fun! (her daddy loves it too!!!)
She's gonna jump it off the ramp!
She's in front....bye Daddy....I'm outta here....She is flying at this point!
...........and they are gone for hours! haha!
Then its clean up time and goof off time in the road.... but this chik got a little too crazy doing this........on this particular day and...she....
FLIPPED it!
yep...she sure did!
*(And it is not the first time...and I am sure it won't be the last!!! The very first time she ever rode one...she flipped it end over end in a ditch! oh yea.....she was 7 years old! WILD CHIK!)

Oh I am so glad you are back and everything is ok. So I cried when I read your post about your moms e-mail oh my how sweet and yes you are truly blessed to be their daughter.
