TAG... I'm IT!

Well, sweet Adele @ A Mei Mei for Mallory has tagged me to share some info about myself with everyone.

I just loved reading her answers....and learning more about her! She is such a precious friend and I'd be happy to answer her questions!

So, here are the questions and...my answers...(I am going to do this is 2 parts....PART 1 today and part 2 tomorrow!)
Here goes!

How many times a week do you cook & eat out?

We usually eat out..or I should say..."On the Run" on Monday..... Wednesday (at church) Friday and Saturday. I don't cook as often as I should...we are so busy going here and there...that every week is different! I do try to cook a couple of times per week...usually it is on Sundays... in the evening...we will grill.

What is your family's favorite Dinner?

Hummmmm..... I guess I'd have to say Japanese Hibachi. All three of us adore the hibachi style cooking and the yummy foods the chef tosses onto your plate! ...such fun!

IF I am cooking...we all three love Pomegranate/Cranberry Pork loin in the Crock Pot...just add some good southern corn...and mashed potatoes....oh and Sister Schubert's yeast rolls..(We love these rolls too, Adele!)..Oh yum!!!!

Do you have a Fast & Easy recipe that you use frequently?

Yes....it is...call my sweet hubby at the office and request that he stop by "said" restaurant on his way home and pick up dinner! Hee-hee...I am totally serious! I always answer the question of..."What did you cook for dinner tonight?" with these words.... "I cooked Logans'" or "I cooked Shoku" or I cooked "Chick-fil-A" hee-hee!

Ok...here is my recipe... to be fair and answer the question posed to me.... Easy Lasagna! I use the no cook noodle recipe and whip it up in no time! Yum!

What kind of snacks & drinks do you keep on hand?

Well we are big snackers here at the Crockett home! We tend to snack more than we eat a big meal!
Some of our favorites are:

*Longhorn Colby Cheese or Sharp Cheddar and Melba Toast

*Frozen grapes

*Dried Mangoes

*Dried & Fresh Pineapples

*String Cheese

*Chocolate covered Raisins

*Popcorn...w/butter!

*Mayfield Ice-Cream

* Tortilla Chips and Cheesy Salsa

*Spinach Artichoke dip (My favorite!)

As for drinks:

*Diet Mt. Dew...(My favorite!)

*Brewed Sweet Tea...(This is Chelsi's personal favorite!)

*Diet Coke (This belongs to Chuck)

*Apple Juice

*Aquafina Grape Water

*Starbucks Mocha Frappuchinos (Chelsi and Love these!)

How do you break up the Housework? When do you get it done?

Oh my goodness...at all hours! Seriously...I was doing a couple of loads of laundry at 1am last night...or I should say this morning!

I do try to do one load a day....but usually do not succeed at this plan...so it does tend to pile up...I often wonder how 3 people can have so much dirty laundry...(No pun intended!)

Chelsi helps bunches...she takes care of her room & Studio and her Bathroom and hall area outside her rooms. I really try to keep the main level of our house clean and picked up at all times...so that I feel OK with anyone stopping by at any time! The bottom level of our home usually stays in tact too...because it opens out to the back yard...and in the summer we are in and out that entrance bunches of times...to get to the lake. But the upstairs...now that is a different story! :) (The bedrooms have doors...and we can shut them if a stray tornado happens to pass through....ya know...we have a lot of tornadoes here at the Crockett home! hee-hee!

Do you have any tips for getting it done faster/easier?

Yes.... hire a housekeeper! hee-hee! :)

Do you have a bedtime routine?

Yes and No....we had one when Chelsi was smaller....it went as follows...I'd give Her a bath and then dry her hair...then we'd read books....(All three of us)....and then we'd pray together, before she went to dreamland!

Now that she is older....we are up much later. We still do the evening prayers and spend "family time" together.

Sweet, sweet times!

What is a typical day like for you all?

Now this is where our lives get interesting....whew....we run run run! No two days are alike here! Ok...

Monday:...School then off to Art lessons, Hip Hop Dance class, Clog Team practice...

Tuesday: School....this is the day I schedule hair appts, dr appts, dental appts..etc...and lunch dates w/friends.

Wednesday: School, then Flute lessons, then dinner, youth and Bible study at church.

Thursday: School, and lunch dates, appts, sometimes our homeschool group will meet on Thursdays.

Friday: School, Homeschool group field trips & activities, Band.

I think I'll stop here for today.....
PART 2 is coming tomorrow!!

Have a blessed day sweet friends!!!
