SKIING at SUGAR & BEECH

Oh what a wonderful weekend it was! Lots of fun and lots of skiing for Chuck & Chelsi!
On Friday, we met our home school group and skied the twilight session at Sugar Mountain.
The kids had so much fun together!

A few of them had not skied until this day, and I was so impressed at how well everyone did!!!

Chuck is such a fantastic skier! He has skied since he was about 7 years old. I can tell that Chelsi is going to be just like her daddy!

I do not ski anymore due to my spine issues. In 1999, I had two spine surgeries. The first one was to remove a ruptured disc, and the second was a spinal fusion in the lumbar region.

Since I am held together by "rods and screws"...... I am a little timid about doing the things I once loved to do. If I happened to fall, I might injure my spine once again. I just can't take that chance. Nevertheless, I do really miss skiing both on snow and water...but I LOVE to watch Chelsi and Chuck having fun!!! I am their personal photographer! (tee-hee)..... Now that I DO enjoy!

The trees were simply gorgeous Sunday morning!

Ice, snow and frost totally covered them!

So beautiful!

Since everyone had such a fantastic time skiing.... our "trip coordinator" has begun to plan our next ski outing in a couple of weeks. We're looking forward to it!!!
The weather was just beautiful. The temperature was 34 degrees for most of the afternoon and dropped to about 25 degrees when we left at 10pm.
Just perfect conditions!

The slopes were not crowded at all!

Chelsi had a great time with her daddy and with her friends too!!!

This picture was taken on our deck....if you look closely you can see Beech's slopes in the background.
On Saturday, they skied at Beech Mtn. It was a nice day as well, but very crowded!
They skied for a half day then came back to the chalet and we ordered Brick Oven pizza and Greek salads for dinner with chicken tenders and fries for Chelsi.
IT WAS SO YUMMY!
Sunday was spent relaxing and chilling out. We watched some movies, roasted marshmallows and then packed up around 6pm and drove home.
It was such a great weekend!
Oh my, does she LOVE to ski!!!! She can't wait to get back on the slopes weekend after next!

I am so sorry you are not able to ski any more but you are probably very wise not to even chance an injury. You did a wonderful job as the trip photographer. The pictures are beautiful.
Blessings,
Linda
